Hatchery Technician
Job Description:
As a Hatchery Technician, you will play a key role in the cultivation and care of oyster larvae and seed, helping ensure strong healthy production from the very start
- Maintain and Monitor Oyster larvae and juvenile stocks
- Assist with spawning,feeding and tank management
- Monitor water quality and hatchery Systems, clean and maintain equipment and facilities
- Record data and support daily hatchery
Qualifications:
- Interest in aquaculture, marine biology or related field
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a hands on, outdoor/industrial environment
- Reliable and team oriented

Job Posting: Graduate Assistant position in the McGuigan lab at the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management at College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources in Honolulu, HI
Job Description: This position will support research on climate, pest dynamics, agroforestry, and the nutritional and metabolomic characteristics of culturally and economically important food tree crops in Hawaiʻi and the U.S.-Affiliated Pacific Islands.
The student will have the opportunity to work across a collaborative network that may include the USDA Forest Service, USDA Agricultural Research Service, The Periodic Table of Food Initiative (PTFI), Pacific Drought Knowledge Exchange, and partners across Pacific Island agroecosystems.
